The Valwood volleyball team scored victories against Colquitt County and North Florida Christian (Fla.) in sweeping their tournament at Eager Sports Arena on Thursday night.
The Valiants (15-1) defeated Colquitt County in the opening match 3-1 (25-7, 25-21, 25-9, 25-10).
After Valwood took the first set, the Packers won the second. The Valiants closed the match with victories in the last two.
Georgia Tech commit Erin Moss finished with 10 kills, Kennedy Kimbro had 16 assists and five kills and Marleigh Carson added seven kills for Valwood. Anna Alvarado had 16 assists and Ellie Griner offered five kills.
Valwood topped NFC in straight sets 3-0 (26-16, 25-12, 25-16).
Moss earned 25 kills in the three sets, including 10 points in the first set with six kills, three blocks and an ace. Kimbro totaled nine assists and six digs, Gracyn Sanderlin had four kills and Makayla Yates offered three digs and two kills.
Valwood’s middle school and junior varsity teams also defeated NFC in straight sets.
Valwood hosts Valdosta on Thursday.
