A total of 37 Valwood fourth and fifth graders have qualified for the Duke University Talent Identification Program (TIP) this year. These students scored in the 95% percentile or above on certain sections of Stanford Achievement Test (SAT-10) last year, earning them this prestigious distiction. The fifth grade had 52% of the class qualify, while 56% of the fourth graders acheived the mark.
